Being More Than An Athlete
Being More Than An Athlete was created to teach young athletes how to navigate college life. It is designed for student-athletes from 10th grade to Juniors in college (because they are the ones most impacted) but can be useful for any student-athlete. For high school athletes, it covers the preparing for college, selecting a college, selecting a major, the recruitment process, the do’s and don’ts of college life, and more. For athletes already in college, it covers student loans/credit card education, resume building, the do’s and don’ts of college life, planning for post-collegiate life and more. Being more than an athlete equips readers/viewers with the right tools to fully utilize the opportunities given to them as potential and current collegiate student-athletes.
Hurdling Through Finances
Hurdling Through Finances was created to plant the seeds to financial health and wealth for young adults. While the focus is on student athletes, hurdling through finances is beneficial for all high school and college students. Topics covered include student loans, credit health, stocks, bonds, money markets, Roth IRA’s to things as simple as a checking and savings account. Hurdling Through Finances helps young adults gain a general understanding of how to manage their finances and helps them avoid the financial mistakes most college students make.
